My Approach

Specialising in supporting children, young people and families

I offer compassionate, evidence-based therapy for children, adolescents, and families, supporting emotional wellbeing through a warm, collaborative, and thoughtful approach. My work is tailored to each individual and family, recognising that everyone’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique.

I am committed to providing an evidence-based approach to improving mental health and draw from both my solid foundation in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and my further training as a Systemic Family Practitioner. With CBT, we will explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours to better understand mental health difficulties. We will focus on identifying and reframing unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours, providing practical tools for managing stress, anxiety, and other emotional struggles. Through systemic family practice we can explore the broader context of you and/or your child's relationships and family dynamics, recognising the impact on wellbeing.

When working with children and young people, I adapt CBT using a creative and age-appropriate approach. This may include play, drawing, storytelling, games, and structured activities, helping children express themselves and engage with therapy in a way that feels safe and accessible.

I also have specialist experience supporting children and young people with neurodivergence, including Autism and ADHD. My approach is flexible and neurodiversity-affirming, adapting sessions to suit different communication styles, sensory needs, and ways of learning.

Alongside my work with children and families, I offer therapeutic support for mothers, recognising the emotional demands of balancing family life, work, relationships, and personal wellbeing. Therapy provides a supportive space to reflect, understand challenges, and develop practical strategies to support emotional wellbeing.

Across all my work, I aim to create a trusting therapeutic relationship where individuals and families feel heard, supported, and empowered to move forward.
